Many communities feel disconnected from the mental health system. Communications fail to represent or resonate with them, meaning they don’t seek out the support they need. If This Speaks To You, Speak To Us changed that. Mind worked with Universal Music to pair real people with experiences of mental health challenges with breakthrough artists who shared a similar cultural background. The artists wrote and performed spoken word pieces representing the advisors’ mental health stories with authentic, relatable, representative voices.

Campaign Context - Spoken Word Films


We partnered artists with people who have expereinced mental health challenges to create spoken word performances about their advisors journey. People were chosen from different cultural backgrounds to reflect communities around the country who don’t feel seen in mental health communications.





Mental Health Week - OOH Campaign




For the OOH awareness camapign, we took passages from these performances and placed them on billboards around the country during Mental Health Awareness Week, we took passages from the performances and used them in digital and print OOH spaces. These were designed to be typographically led to bring attention to the words. The Mind brand colours were used to reinforce their brand identity, helping to cut through the noise of other ad campaigns shared in the spaces.




Poverty Stream Digital Banners


Desinger | 2023


A series of digital banners to help spread awareness on the effect of the cost of living crisis had on mental health. Handwriting was used to share the everyday things people were scared of not being able to do. 
The animated banners ended on a the campaign tagline, along with following through support channels to help people.
